Pharmacists Gather in Cairo to Discuss Access to Medicines and Other Key Global Health Priorities

Cairo, Egypt, 4 September 2005 ----- Bringing together more than 2000 pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists from 92 countries, the annual congress of FIP – the international organization representing the world’s 2 million pharmacists - will focus on key issues in global health, including access to medicines, migration of pharmacists, combating counterfeit, and HIV/AIDS. This is the first time in FIP’s 93- year history that its world congress has been held in Africa and in the Arab world
