FIP OPENS THE 68TH WORLD CONGRESS OF PHARMACY AND PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES, Basel, Switzerland.

On Sunday, 31st August 2008 FIP was very pleased to open the 68th World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Basel, Switzerland!

Over 3000 participants have come together for a week of pre-satellite symposia, sessions, workshops and meetings focused on this year's Congress theme - Reengineering Pharmacy Practice in a Changing World. Reports of proceedings and outomces will follow as the week unfolds.

FIP was extremely honoured to welcome to the Opening Ceremony Mr Pascal Couchepin, President of the Swiss Foundation who, in his addresse, stressed the importance of the role of pharmacists in such significant issues as counterfeit medicines and interprofesional collaboration. FIP offers sincere thanks for President Couchepin's words.
