Backgrounds
Carvedilol is a nonselective β-blocking agent, which is commonly used for the treatment of different cardiovascular diseases. Carvedilol is metabolized via cytochrome P450, CYP2D6 isoform. Sertraline is an antidepressant known to have inhibitory effect on cytochrome P450 2D6.
