Background
Pharmacy assistants must be able to respond appropriately to requests for non-prescription medicines. Protocols to respond to Pharmacy Medicine and Pharmacist Only Medicine requests in Australia are well established and support safe, effective medicine use. Anecdotal reports suggest pharmacy assistants find existing protocols complex and The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
