    Background and objective: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) causes amenorrhoea, infertility, hirsutism and bilaterally enlarged polycystic ovaries. Tbe objective of this study was to evaluate the incidence of presenting complaints of PCOS in the local female population and to evaluate the cost of diagnosis and treatment.
