Background
Direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) are a new class of medicines to prevent and treat blood clots. DOACs are considered high risk medicines due to the potential for causing a bleed. Risks associated with warfarin are highlighted to UK patients using a Patient Booklet and Alert Card (PB&AC). There are no equivalent materials for patients.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
