  • Abstract:

Nitroglycerin (GTN, glyceryl trinitrate) has been used in the treatment of angina pectoris for more than a century. Following oral administration, GTN undergoes extensive first pass hepatic metabolism, thus for the pharmacokinetic study of oral GTN, its main two stable metabolites; 1,2-dinitroglycerin (1,2-GDN) and 1,3-dinitroglycerin (1,3-GDN)..
