  • Abstract:

Multidrug resistance (MDR) arises from transporter- and non-transporter-based mechanisms during cancer chemotherapy. Overexpression of MDR1 gene and GSTp gene and underexpression of Topo II gene confer MDR phenotype. Besides, alteration of apoptosis occurs in the presence of MDR. Development of agents to overcome MDR is important in cancer..
