Amiodarone induced subacute thyroiditis

  • Abstract:

    Hyperthyroidism has been reported in 1% to 23% of patients receiving amiodarone while hypothyroidism has been reported in 1% to 32% of patients receiving amiodarone. However, the overall incidence of amiodarone-induced thyroid dysfunction is estimated to be 2% to 24%. Hypo- and hyperthyroidism has occurred in the same patient receiving amiodarone. ..
