    Goa was under the Portuguese rule till 1961. Modern pharmacy education started in Goa on 1st December 1842. The education was totally controlled by the Govt. The legislations were made from time to time to regulate the Pharmacy education. The first legislation was passed in the year 1942 and subsequent changes were made in the year 1893, 1905,
