  • Abstract:

Background: A medicine use study conducted in 28 health facilities in 5 Afghanistan provinces revealed that only 29% of patients exiting health facilities knew how to correctly use their medicine. Poor adult literacy rates especially among women (12%), make it imperative to educate the general public on how to take medicines safely and correctly.
