Paracetamol dosage and risk factors in elderly inpatients

  • Abstract:

    Background

    Paracetamol is often prescribed with a maximum dose of 4g in 24 hours. Recent evidence suggests that >3g should not be prescribed if certain clinical risk factors or enzyme-inducing drugs are present.
