    I.Significant pharmacokinetic interactions exist between gastric acid reducing agents and certain protease inhibitors, including atazanavir (ATV), which rely on acidic gastric pH for optimal absorption. In the presence of omeprazole, ATV exposure was reduced by 76% in healthy volunteers, raising the concern that concomitant administration of ATV..
