Backgrounds
Backgrounds: Budesonide is BCS II class drug, Log P value is 3.2 and it’s solubility in water is less than 1 mg/100 mL. Due to the low water solubility of Budesonide, the dissolution and oral therapeutic potential is limited. Self-microemulsions are lipid based oral dosage forms and occur by mixture of oil, surfactant and co-surfactant.
