Backgrounds
The pharmacoresistance stills affecting 30-40% of the epileptic patients, being P-glycoprotein (P-gp) recognised as one of the primary mechanism involved. In an attempt to find potent and safer P-gp inhibitors, a particular emphasis has been given to flavonoid compounds, as silymarin, to be potentially used as add-on therapy.
