Under a memorandum of understanding between FIP and the International Conference of French-speaking Chambers of Pharmacists (CIOPF), the two organisations are to work together to better disseminate FIP work in French speaking countries and on a number of projects, which include the FIP Global Pharmaceutical Observatory (GPO) and surveillance projects.

The GPO projects focus on the collection, analysis and interpretation of pharmacy-related data, such as for pharmacy workforce and vaccination provision. The MoU was signed yesterday at the FIP congress in Cape Town. “CIOPF already has a very good relationship with FIP as an Allied Organisation. This MoU will help improve the data we gather and how it is used to advance our profession,” said FIP president Paul Sinclair.

“This strengthening of our cooperation will enable a greater access to FIP work in French-speaking countries, with the aim of promoting public health and providing better service to patients,” said Carine Wolf-Thal, CIOPF president.
